7️⃣ Caption Health in the US provides guidance to healthcare professionals and inexperienced people to perform ultrasound examinations accurately and quickly. Caption Health used ML analysis of thousands of ultrasound images to build “copilot” software that helps even inexperienced technicians capture high-quality echocardiograms, potentially opening up ultrasound to broader use.
Caption Health has been acquired by GE HealthCare.

Behold.ai was the winner 🏆 of the Prix Galien International 2024 and Prix Galien 2022 for the ‘Best Digital Health Software’ for red dot® V2 Clinical Analysis Software, the life sciences’ most prestigious awards for innovation, the highest accolade in life sciences with greatest potential impact on global human health.
9️⃣ Viz.ai sends a notification to healthcare professionals when there is a sign of a serious situation, like early signs of brain stroke. Viz.ai’s algorithm was designed to spot signs of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (Viz HCM) and is part of the Viz.ai Cardio Suite, a collection of the company’s heart focused diagnostic AI programs into one place for easy access by hospital customers. Viz HCM can automatically sift through routine electrocardiograms (ECG) gathered across a hospital and send an alert to the appropriate care teams if signs of HCM are detected in a patient’s ECG data. Viz.ai is located in the United States, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Israel and Portugal

🔟 RetinAI has a discovery platform that helps to collect, organize and analyze health data from the eye. RetinAI’s CE-marked web-based software platform, the RetinAI Discovery®, navigates imaging data, imaging biomarkers and tracks changes over time for some of the most common forms of eye diseases. RetinAI’s Discovery platform aggregates data to generate insights on disease biomarkers and outcomes, with predictive analytics for analyzing cause and effect and is supporting large-scale clinical studies in EU and North America, with a go-to platform for data collection, clinical and imaging data, and enhanced endpoint analysis via AI.
In 2023, RetinAI (Bern, Switzerland, 2017) announced a partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim in order to improve patient outcomes in geographic atrophy/GA—a progressive, advanced form of age-related macular degeneration and a leading cause of complete loss of sight, estimated to affect around 5 million people worldwide—by combining RetinAI’s Discovery platform and AI tools with Boehringer Ingelheim’s research in retinal diseases.

SubtlePET’s DL algorithm may result in time savings in PET scanning of up to 75%, with the software able to integrate into existing imaging center workflows, regardless of PET scanner manufacturer or model.
In November 2024, Melbourne, Australia-based Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX: TLX) partnered with Subtle Medical to add the company’s AI-based SubtlePET software to Illuccix, Telix’s imaging agent used in positron emission tomography (PET) scanning for prostate cancer screening (Telix adds AI to prostate cancer screening with Subtle Medical partnership).

Lunit offers AI Radiology Solutions (Lunit INSIGHT CXR for Chest X-ray, Lunit INSIGHT CXR Triage for Chest X-ray Triage-FDA cleared, Lunit INSIGHT MMG for Mammography-FDA cleared, Lunit INSIGHT DBT for Digital Breast Tomosynthesis-FDA cleared) and AI Oncology Solutions (Lunit SCOPE IO for AI-Powered Biomarker for Immune Phenotyping and Lunit SCOPE PD-L1 for AI-Powered PD-L1 Quantification for Immunotherapy).
On November 18, 2024, Lunit partnered with global biopharma giant AstraZeneca plc. to jointly enter the AI-powered lung cancer diagnostics market.
